You asked, we listened! We are very excited to announce our partnership with Canadian produce growers, Smart Greens, to expand distribution and customer support of Freight Farms in Canada.

Due to the overwhelming interest in Freight Farms technology in the region, we have been developing relationships to offer distribution and support outside of the U.S, and this partnership with Smart Greens ensures that quality of service extends across borders.

Smart Greens, based in Cornwall, Ontario, will be focused on expanding the network of Freight Farmers in Canada, offering training and product support for interested Canadian customers. Since being established in July of 2014, Smart Greens has made great strides in its goal to establish a local, sustainable, chemical-free food source. The company will also continue to focus on expanding its freight farm operation in Cornwall, Ontario, to better support customers with farm set-up, operations and market optimization.

The guys leading the Smart Greens operation, Eric & Eric, have been in the spotlight quite frequently over the past few weeks for their efforts to expand fresh, local food production to all areas of Canada.

Quoted from their recent interview with CBC: ""We envision hundreds of these in Canada. There's no reason why we couldn't have 10 of them stacked together here in Cornwall, or in Ottawa, or in larger markets," said Eric Bergeron, one of the co-founders of Smart Greens."

We're thrilled at the expansion opportunities this partnership will bring, and the impact it will have on local food economies across Canada.
