Ending 2014… With a Spark!Investors Pour $3.7m in Agricultural VentureWhy Spark Invested in Freight Farms

If you haven’t heard by now, we are the newest members of Spark Capital’s portfolio and we couldn’t be more thrilled - this partnership just makes sense. Spark truly believes in our mission to change the food system and we are looking forward to working together to do just this. Look out for some big things in 2015 that will be made possible by the funding - team expansion, product development, and research & development. Together with Spark we hope to help more businesses, communities, and schools grow a diverse variety of crops in tight spaces, extreme climates - places they're needed most.

Flash Back Friday

This week, we’re looking back on a third major highlight of the year - Freight Farms going international! Going international knocked out two “firsts” for us - our first farm abroad as well as our first distributor partnership. Smart Greens, our Canadian farmers, are our “eyes and ears” in Canada, working to build our network abroad and grow our family of Freight Farmers.
