Whether you're running a small business, serving students on campus, or growing greens for an entire town, you're probably coming into your container farming venture with little experience in growing hydroponically (let alone in a shipping container!).

Luckily, we have a powerful secret weapon designed to increase your chances at succeeding with your farming venture. It's our all-knowledgable, all-powerful:

Client Services Team!

Need help with your site? Deploy Secret Weapon Andrew! Need to be trained into an all-star Freight Farmer? Bam! Deploy Julia! Farm running too hot? Deploy Dave!

The Client Services mission is straightforward: to support and empower you inside and outside of your farm. Our services take many forms. From the moment of purchase to your launch day, the CS team is having weekly check-ins to make sure everything is going smoothly (and we'll keep checking as you get growing and beyond!). We train you with all the knowledge you need to operate the farm and your particular venture. We offer you customer discovery and marketing support, as well as access to the entire Freight Farmer Community. And, of course, we're always a phone call or email away if you ever need hardware or software support.

Meet the Team

We caught up with the team to learn more about what they do and why they do it!

Tell us a little bit about how you support Farmers.
I support our farmers by heading the various segments of what CS has to offer: pushing various projects and initiatives forward, such as on-boarding our farmers, customer relationship building, farmer education, technical support and product guarantee.

What is your favorite part of your job?
My favorite part of my job is watching our network of farmers grow, and sharing their experiences, learnings, and progress.

Why Freight Farms?
I love that we make it possible for anyone to grow food anywhere as a means of providing for their cities, diving deeper into a hobby, and creating awareness and acceptance around a new, sustainable way to farm that's better (in so many aspects) for the environment and your community.

Tell us a little bit about how you support Farmers.

I actively reach out to farmers at regular intervals to share new techniques/products we’ve tested at HQ, compare our growing strategies, and align Freight Farms’ Client Services with each farmer’s goals for the next few months.

What is your favorite part of your job?

New Freight Farmers’ first harvests and/or first sales. This is when Freight Farmers really make the farm their own and get their first taste of making a dream become reality.

Why Freight Farms?

The Leafy Green Machine is a brand-new, innovative way to farm. For the first time, the barrier to entry for someone looking to grow food is quite low. Even so, farming is as much a lifestyle change. With all the uncertainty that such a change involves, it’s important to me to be there for our Freight Farmers to show them that they can grow food, they can accomplish their vision, and it can be very rewarding along the way.

Beat them with rulers... just kidding... I teach them how to use the product and make sure they have the resources they need to succeed.

What is your favorite part of your job?

Building relationships with farmers and watching them grow.

Why Freight Farms?

Food accessibility for all. How do we imagine it? How do we achieve it? How do we make it sustainable? Freight Farms is part of the answer.

Tell us a little bit about how you support Farmers.

I educate farmers about their farms and help them get the info they need to run them efficiently.

What is your favorite part of your job?

I love being faced with a new issue and finding a solution. I get to grow my own knowledge while helping someone out.

Why Freight Farms?

My job has its challenges, but at the end of the day what I do directly affects and contributes to our farmers’ livelihoods and happiness, and that makes my day, everyday.

Tell us a little bit about how you support Farmers.

One way I support farmers is by helping to troubleshoot and find solutions to clients questions and needs. I also am responsible for Farmhand Shop logistics.

What is your favorite part of your job?

The favorite part of my job is being able to help clients work through complex situations. It’s a great feeling to be able to solve a problem and help a business to keep providing their surrounding area with the freshest produce.

Why Freight Farms?

Supporting Freight Farmers is important to me because I get to help people start and/or expand their business. In doing so, I am able to help farmers bring fresh local produce to individuals around the world.
