We are looking for a qualified Community Manager to join the Freight Farms team: If you’re a tech-savvy self-starter, experienced in social media and event marketing, and interested in the AgTech industry, we want to talk to you!

This role is focused on executing day-to-day brand building activities, both on- and off-line. The role will combine knowledge of social media, and event/digital/email marketing to continuous engage existing leads and generate new opportunities.

Social media responsibilities:

  • Manage Freight Farms’ social media accounts daily, including consistently posting and sharing content, and responding directly to comments and messages from followers.

  • Curate engaging text, image, and video content for all social media accounts.

  • Design and implement social media and communication campaigns to align with larger marketing strategies.

  • Create a consistent and cohesive brand image across all platforms.

Event marketing responsibilities:

  • Organize and execute Freight Farms community events to build engagement and boost brand awareness.

  • Organize and execute events for potential customers on a local and regional level (ex. Open houses). This will involve thinking creatively about the customer experience and ways to create meaningful engagement.

  • Research, identify, and attend local and national industry events that align with business goals.

  • Manage and oversee all events on the day of, including problem-solving, welcoming guests, directing event set-up, communicating with staff, and organizing vendors, and managing take-down.

  • Build relationships with customers, potential customers, industry professionals and journalists.

  • Coordinate with Marketing, and PR teams to ensure brand consistency.

Digital/email marketing responsibilities:

  • Use analytics and measurement tools to provide reports on email, social media, and website metrics, and continually find ways to improve through testing and new initiatives.

  • Create original, SEO-focused blog content on the Freight Farms website.

  • Build and send emails for contacts in all lead stages based on Sales and Marketing strategies (webinars, events, and incentives).

  • Curate branded community newsletters to engage contacts across multiple audiences.


Requirements:

  • Very strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills

  • Eager, passionate, and excited approach to the role

  • Attention to detail and ability to multitask

  • Good eye for visual design

  • Previous hands-on experience with social media management

  • Previous experience with event planning and management

  • Ability to interpret website traffic and online customer engagement metrics

  • Knowledge of most relevant marketing trends and techniques across digital platforms

  • Developed understanding  of online marketing and digital marketing channels

  • Comfort using image-editing tools (bonus points for gif-making)

Useful skills:

  • Adobe Suite

  • SRM tools (ex. Hubspot, MailChimp)

  • Google AdWords & Analytics

  • Facebook Ads Manager
