Introducing Our New Hydroponic Nutrients!

As you may have seen in our 2022 Annual Review, we released a new line of hydroponic nutrients last year! Our in-house team of plant scientists worked diligently to curate and test these new and improved hydroponic nutrients:

Farmhand form, grow, and boost hydroponic nutrients

farmhand form, grow, and boost

Over 160+ trials, the new farmhand nutrients were tested against a comparable competing nutrient blend and showed a 30% yield increase, on average. What makes them so powerful? We break down the three-part formula below.

farmhand form

Form is the primary source of nitrogen in the trio. It also fortifies water with calcium and magnesium. This balanced ratio of nitrogen, calcium, and magnesium promotes cell tissue and structure.

farmhand grow

Grow introduces the macro- and micronutrients needed for healthy vegetative growth and contains a biodegradable nutrient availability enhancer that has been proven to increase yields in over 900 trials and 40 crops. Grow works to promote even growth throughout vegetative development.

farmhand boost

Boost contributes two sources of nitrogen and sulfur to keep nutrient levels in water tanks balanced. Through additional strategic doses, boost supercharges plant growth, resulting in huge harvests.

Farmhand form, grow, and boost are intended to be used as a trio.

Together, the nutrient formulas offer a flexible, balanced blend of macro- and micronutrients that promote rapid growth and tissue development in plants. They also offer other benefits!

  1. Increasing water efficiency

This trio of hydroponic nutrients was specifically designed to extend the life of water in recirculating systems by balancing water — adding actively absorbed nutrients without oversupplying passively absorbed nutrients.

  2. Versatile

The three-part nutrient formula provides a complete nutritional program for a wide variety of crops, from classics like butterhead and romaine lettuce to specialty crops like shiso, Genovese basil, and mustard greens.

  3. Profit-increasing

Better yet, increased yields directly lead to increased revenue. These new nutrients are our next step toward making Freight Farming increasingly profitable for our farmers.

No one could give a better testimonial than Freight Farmers themselves. Here’s what we heard from Jon Sherman, owner of The Farm at Lost Bridge in Garfield, AR, about his experience using our new hydroponic nutrients to grow in a portion of his farm:

We began using Freight Farm’s upgraded nutrient solution and new boost formula in November 2022. Three weeks later, we realized some impressive gains in yield while maintaining or improving taste and texture. We have observed a 28.7% increase in production. Since we sell by weight, this change represents an opportunistic gain of $492 of weekly revenue at $13 per pound. Thus, boost provided a nearly immediate ROI of 18.65 times the cost of boost. As you can imagine, we are quite happy with the results.
