Cultivation Area. Combined, the farm supports over 13,000 plants at once, ensuring that you always have
a steady supply of crops.

The ultimate seedling starter site.
The Greenery’s seedling nursery is located beneath the farm’s multi-purpose stainless steel table. Two independently-controlled seedling troughs house up to 4,608 seedlings at once, providing plants with perfect conditions in their first weeks of life.
Your worktable is the perfect spot to manage business operations, planting schedules, harvest logs, and packaging.
Hydroponics: Ebb & Flow System
A series of sensors and pumps maintain perfect water conditions for the plants germinating in the table’s dual-irrigated troughs. Controlled with farmhand®, the cyclical system senses and equalizes nutrient levels, and waters seedlings on a regular schedule.

High-Production Cultivation Area
A lush growing space.
The cultivation area features water-efficient drip irrigation hydroponics, high-capacity plant panels, and an innovative mobile rack system. Combined, these components create a 220 square-foot lush production space.
Hydroponics: Drip Irrigation System
The Greenery’s cultivation area uses gravity to make a drip irrigation system possible. The irrigation system is automated to ensure plants’ success: Farmhand® senses and maintains nutrient levels and delivers water to the plants on a regular schedule.
The entire system uses as little water as possible, averaging just 5 gallons per day. Smart drip emitters give plants just the right amount of water at the roots; gutters recapture any excess and return it to the main tank.
5-Channel Plant Panel
Grow up to 8,800 plants at once.
The lightweight and sturdy removable panels are shaped from food-safe polystyrene. All five channels are paired with a reticulated foam growing medium and an anti-drip wicking strip, giving the plants a growing structure and making sure moisture remains at the root.
Row planting | Larger crops are grown in traditional rows, but strategically alternated to maximize available space.
Linear planting | Small herbs and leafy greens can take full advantage of the farm’s 36,960 inches of growing space.
Intercropping | Capitalize on the plant panel’s unique design by interplanting smaller crops between larger ones.

The Greenery’s entire hydroponic system moves along overhead tracks, allowing you to transition the farm from a high density growing environment to an airy workspace.

Typically, the Greenery’s racks remain in four evenly-spaced rows, each 18 inches apart. Visual guides help operators reposition back to this default spacing.
B-F. Customizable spacing
Easily adjusted row widths for in-row transplanting, harvesting, cleaning, and maintenance. Additionally, create long-term changes by shifting and fixing rows to meet the spacing needs for different plant varieties.

Powerful LED Lights
Lights that rival the sun
Healthy, robust, and flavorful plants start with the perfect light source. For this reason, Freight Farms engineered custom LED arrays that emit an intense amount of light that encourages the plants to grow strong without sunlight.
Isolated Red and Blue Light
The Greenery’s total 120 LED boards are purposefully designed to emit only select wavelengths of red and blue light, which plants are able to absorb best for photosynthesis. Each color has a special purpose: Blue light stimulates stem growth, while red light helps the plant grow dense and healthy leaves.
Directional Beams
Dotted with evenly spaced diodes, the waterproof LED boards are braced by a rigid aluminum frame that focuses light directly onto the crops, ensuring the plants soak up as much photosynthetic energy as possible.

Operating in temperatures ranging from -40ºF to 130ºF, the Greenery maintains an average internal temperature of 70ºF by balancing heat from the strong LED arrays and cold air from the powerful HVAC unit with an integrated dehumidifier and economizer. The environment is then preserved by the container’s thickly insulated walls.
Fans & CO2
Consistent Airflow
Fans move air in the farm to stabilize internal temperatures, distribute CO2, and prevent stale air which can lead to mold and mildew. CO2 is controlled with a precision regulator to ensure levels are nourishing for plants and safe for humans.
Farmhand®
Complete Control & Transparency
Farmhand® connects with the Greenery’s IoT sensors to relay all climate data to your device for minute-by-minute monitoring and component control. In this way, you can use farmhand® ‘recipes’–pre-configured combinations of light, water, temperature, pH, CO2, and nutrient levels that are tailored for each crop–to grow unique, flavorful, and high quality plants year-round.
